Drink Safely with Milkscreen by UpSpring

Nursing is a tough game, but totally worth it. I've never been a huge drinker, but when I started nursing Lucy I realized any alcohol I consume could possibly be transferred to my milk. That's a scary thought. I hated the idea of "pumping and dumping" but better safe than sorry, right?

Well, now, there's a solution that doesn't involve dumping all that precious, liquid gold unnecessarily down the drain!

Milkscreen is an alcohol testing strip that detects even the smallest amount of alcohol in breastmilk in just 2 minutes! I simply soaked a strip with room temperature breastmilk after enjoying my drink and watched for it to stay white (negative) or turn brown (positive). Thankfully one drink was negative, but I soaked a second strip in the actual wine to make sure it worked and it did turn brown after about a minute and a half.

I love that I no longer have to waste any of my hard-earned milk, and I can still enjoy the occasional cocktail or glass of wine!

Nursing mamas: do you use Milkscreen? I think a box of these strips and a bottle of wine would make a great gift for a new mom!

*I received these products free for testing purposes from Influenster. All opinions are my own.*
