October 2015 - Like Honey

Fave Five Friday

Happy Friday!! I am so glad to finally welcome the weekend! It's going to be a fun-filled one, I'm sure of it.

5.) Did ya'll catch Sunday's H54F Hangout? I had so much fun talking with some sweet blogger friends about all things fall! You can watch the video here.

4.) Tomorrow is Halloween! I'm so excited to take Lucy out in her little Dorothy dress. I may or may not have a costume of my own planned ;) Stay tuned next week to see our outfits in full.

3.) On Thursday, I shared a few verses and thoughts on feeling inadequate. It's something that's been on my heart lately and I'm hoping it helps some of you ladies out when you're feeling low as well!
2.) As excited as I am for Halloween, I am still thinking ahead to Christmas. I've got several gifts for Lucy already and we just bought all the necessesities for our Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift as well. With the holidays in mind, I also found a great deal on pjs for Lucy! How CUTE are these flannels?! Best part? I scored both pair for just $12. Target had clothing buy one get one 50% off plus I had a $10 off online purchase coupon plus my RedCard saved me 5% and got me free shipping! Can't beat that!

1.) Yesterday night was girl's night at my friend Amy's house. We played games and ate cute Halloween treats. I brought these spooky Oreo balls. They are so delicious and there just might be a recipe coming to the blog ;)

Happy Halloween weekend ya'll! I hope yours is full of more treats than tricks ;)

Mad About Plaid

Anyone else obsessed with all the plaid this year? I see it every fall, but this year has been really loaded with gorgeous grids and checks. Here are some plaid pieces I'm loving a lot right now:

Are you falling flannels this year, too? I'm obsessed with that head wrap for Lucy and those mixing bowls!

Fave Five Friday

Yay for Friday! I get so excited for each week that goes by because it means I'm one week closer to Thanksgiving and Christmas and one week closer to meeting my sweet baby! I can't wait!

This week was pretty low key in the Klee household. Here's a recap and some favorites:

Tarte Greatest Glitz Collector's Set, $49 // bareMinerals Get Started Kit, $49 // Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Lip, $25

5.) I am working on increasing my high-end makeup products. I don't have many because they cost so much, but the few things I do have I keep reaching for over my drugstore items. I've found the best way to collect high-end products is to buy them in the value sets. You don't always get full size products, but you do get a lot of different items to try, which you can then purchase full size of if you really love it. I hate to spend lots of money on products I don't love so this is a great way to start out on a brand or product! These three are on the top of my list right now.

Air Wick 4 in 1 Apple Cinnamon Medley Room Spray // Air Wick Life Scents Multi Layered Candle (discontinued) // Air Wick Sugar Apple & Warm Cinnamon Candle // Mainstays Mulled Cider Wax Cubes (in stores) // Mainstays Mulled Cider Room Spray (in stores)
4.) I know I'm not the only one obsessed with scented stuff for the home. Candles, wax melts, sprays...you name it, I probably have it. And it's probably cinnamon apple or pumpkin spice scented. I recently picked up these cheapo wax melts at Walmart for 93 cents each! Best part? They smell like straight up Christmas! It's my new favorite scent for sure. Another fave I've been enjoying are these Air Wick cinnamon apple scents. My hubby's office is at a Reckitt Benckiser plant where they make products for brands like Lysol, Resolve, French's, Woolite, Clearasil, Veet, Air Wick and more. He gets to shop their products once a month at a steep discount and picked me up these goodies this week!

Old Navy Fleece Dress for Baby in Night Dive

3.) I've been working on our family Christmas outfits. I know, it's early, but I like to get the pictures done early so I can make sure I get Christmas cards out on time! If you do it early enough, Shutterfly usually has great deals on holiday cards during Black Friday. I had this adorable forest green dress picked out for Lucy to wear originally, but I've ended up having to start from scratch thanks to a less than helpful Old Navy employee. Basically, there are no burgundy tights anywhere in the world in size 12-18 months. Old Navy had some a while back but now they only have bigger sizes. But I happened to find a pair of burgundy leggings there! My size was sold out online but one store in my area had them! So I called and had them place a pair on hold for me. I then drive 30 minutes out of my way to pick them up and guess what? The employee held a light pink pair in a 5T! Not even close! Of course the ones I needed were all gone, too. I'm just glad that the employee who "helped" me wasn't around when I got there! #furious

2.) On a happier note, I am really in love with my blanket scarf from Altar'd State! There's an outfit post with all outfit details here. You can see more ways to wear it on my instagram as well (faithandfashblog).

Dress, Baby Gap (resale) // Tights, Mini Boden (old) // Headband, Etsy
1.) Last weekend we headed to one of our local pumpkin patches to grab some pictures of Lucy and her cousins for the grandparent's to keep. These are some of my faves of Lucy. She was overdue for a nap and very distracted by all the people around so I'm surprised we came out with any good ones!

P.S. I'm excited to say that this Sunday I am co-hosting the High Five For Friday Google Hangout! It's going to be all about Fall and I couldn't be happier. Details to come so stay tuned! I hope you'll join us!

Blanket Scarf Love

This blanket scarf has been on my fall wishlist for nearly 2 years now. I finally caved and snagged one last week! I'm so glad I did; I think I've worn it almost every day since I got it. I found mine at Altar'd State for $30. I didn't think that was too bad for such a versatile scarf. I know there are cheaper versions of it out there (like here & here), but I know that Altar'd State's clothing is usually much nicer quality than the cheaper versions. With a piece that is going to be worn a lot this year and for years to come, I thought I'd splurge a little on a nicer piece.

The burgundy jeans are another fall staple that I break out every year. They seriously go with everything! These are actually from Motherhood Maternity. I'm happy to say that at 3 months preggo I'm still rocking my regular jeans (buttoned and all!), but I found these at a resale shop and couldn't say no to the opportunity to finally wear my burgundy jeans through my entire pregnancy! I missed them when I was pregnant with Lucy last year!

Fave Five Friday + A Not So Fave

TGIF ya'll! It's been a yucky week in the Klee household. Lucy has been really congested since Sunday and I just feel so bad for her. She absolutely hates having her face wiped after eating, so she really hates having her nose wiped and having to saline sprayed up her nose and bulb syringed out is just awful. It breaks my heart to hear her little cracked voice and tiny cough. Hopefully she gets over the worst of it soon! On to favorites:

Me & my girl taking a snack break // We had to stop at this booth, of course! Lucy's Southern Twine ;) // Winston tagged along too, supporting our birds! // This fancy dog statue still has me cracking up. His face! I probably should have bought it. // A pretty plaid pram, authentic vintage from England!
5.) On Saturday, we spent all day at St. Louis Vintage Market Days. It's an upscale vintage-inspired outdoor market full of original art, antiques, clothing + jewelry, handmade items, home decor, furniture, local food, and more. Basically a real life local etsy! What could be better? We didn't come home with anything (except for a big ol' bag of the best kettle corn I've ever had!), but I did leave feeling inspired and a little bit crafty! I can't wait to put my own ideas to work!

4.) Sunday was just as busy as Saturday. We started our day with church and then headed out to do a little shopping. It was only supposed to be a couple of stops, but my hubby and I are both browsers and we ended up being out for several hours! In the end I came home with some super cute pieces for all of us, including some key pieces for our family Christmas outfits and a fall staple that I've had on my wishlist for about 2 years!

3.) ICYMI: I shared a great glammed up version of the plaid button down look and a yummy Crockpot Shredded Chicken Parmesan recipe! This week was all about cozy with a sick babe and Crockpot always = cozy in my book.

2.) Lucy turned 9 months old this week! And I am officially in my last week of my first trimester! We're all feeling very emotional around here but I'm so excited to see Lucy grow by leaps and bounds in the coming weeks. That goes for my belly, too!
1.) Is anyone else ridiculously ready for Christmas? I could honestly just forget all about Halloween and skip right to Thanksgiving and Christmas. Only 68 more days! I've really got to get going on my Christmas shopping!!

And a NOT so favorite....
With a 9 month old and one on the way we are going to be swimming in diapers for a while! I thought I'd branch out from my beloved Pampers and try a cheaper alternative in an effort to save a little money. We tried the Target Up & Up brand. It comes with almost twice as many diapers as the Pampers Swaddlers boxes for the same price! I SO wish I could have liked these. But, fair warning ladies...they are AWFUL. I mean. so bad. Lucy has trouble leaking at night occasionally, but never during the day and with these Up & Up diapers she leaked every. single. time. I ended up with almost 2 full loads of laundry after all the accidents after just 1 and a half days. So I returned the rest of the diapers and went back to my Pampers. There's just nothing better!

Happy Friday! Any big weekend plans out there? We're taking photos at the pumpkin patch tomorrow and then hitting a local pumpkin festival on Sunday!

Bling & Buffalo Plaid

I absolutely love buffalo plaid for fall. It's one of my favorite plaids and the only plaid shirt I even own right now! I need to fix that situation asap. Another favorite of mine are these versatile nude heels. They are the perfect shoe for every outfit and really elongate your legs. As you can see from my rolled jeans, I am a shorty, so I need all the length I can get.

I love to pair plaid button downs with graphic tees for a casual look, but this look called for something a little more glam. I paired it with this gorgeous statement necklace from Mirina Collections (email me if you'd like to know more about it). It's a great way to add a little sparkle and shine to an otherwise casual look.
