November 2015 - Like Honey

Is Baby #2 Pink or Blue?!

We have exciting news surrounding the identity of baby #2...

Are you ready?

We are SO excited to welcome little Parker James into our family! I know my husband is excited to have his boy, and I am too. This little man is already so loved and cherished.

I'm thrilled to be able to enjoy both sides of the spectrum...the bows and the bow ties. It's going to be a ton of fun (and a little crazy) but we are over the moon!

Any tips for a first time boy mama? It's been a while since my family had any boys around (my 10 year old brother is super pumped about getting a nephew, being the last boy on my side of the family!) and anyone who knows me knows I am the furthest from a tomboy...advice, suggestions and prayers are welcome!

Thanks so much for sharing in our good news with us! We are so very blessed to be given this little guy (and our little girl!)!

Fave Five Friday | Feeling Thankful

Happy Friday, all! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with their loved ones. I know I did! I'm sure most of you are out hunting for deals today, so stay safe in your shopping! It can get crazy out there!

Since yesterday was Thanksgiving, I thought it was highly appropriate to share 5 things I'm grateful for this Friday (though I could go much further than just 5!):

Top Photo (from left to right): Preston, Lucy, Me, my dad, my mom, my sister Hannah, my brother Sean, my soon-to-be sister-in-law Emily, my sister Amelia, my brother Carson, & my sister Lila
Bottom Left Photo: My parents and siblings and I all decked out in our UK gear for the big game last year! Preston took the photo because he isn't a Kentucky fan and refused to sit on the couch with us all anyway, lol!
Bottom Right Photo: One of my very favorite photos we have...all 4 generations! My mom's mom Mary Jo is the best grandmother I could ask for. Love her to pieces!

5.) Fun Family // I am so very blessed to have such a large and wonderful family! This isn't even including my husband's side (and if I wasn't finishing this post at 1:00am on Friday morning, I might add some pictures of them to it!). I love all of my siblings so much and have amazing parents who have been a wonderful example of a happy, loving marriage for over 20 years! I'm so glad to say that my mom and oldest younger sister are my best friends and my youngest siblings are so close with Lucy. It fills my heart to the brim ♥

4.) A Healthy Pregnancy/Baby // If I say "I'm so blessed" too much, don't stop me. I just can't help it. I am so so lucky to have been graced with (so far) extremely healthy pregnancies and babies. My pregnancy with Lucy was an absolute breeze and the labor and delivery were just as smooth. I have every hope that this one will be more of the same, since the pregnancy has been remarkably similar, but only time will tell. Until then, I praise God that I have been able to do this much and have such ease with fertility. My heart absolutely breaks for those who don't; some of my dearest friends and family have suffered from infertility and miscarriage. They are incredibly strong, faithful people who have taught me so much, like how to be truly grateful for the blessings my babies are.

3.) Loving Hubby // I don't know where I'd be without this guy. He is an absolute rock for me and does everything he can to provide for his family. He is a great supporter, amazing father, and a beautiful example of a true, Christian man. I know he will continue to lead our family in a Godly manner and I could not be more grateful to him for his constant support, care, and love. Love you forever, babe!

2.) My Baby Girl, Lucy // Oh my sweet sweet girl. How could I not be grateful for the blessing you are on our lives? Lucy has been a constant ray of sunshine (albeit a little cloudy somedays). Her smile absolutely lights up a room and her giggle completely melts my heart. Just to see her light up with excitement when her daddy comes home is enough to send me over the moon. She is growing incredibly fast and is so smart with such a sweet disposition. I sure hope she passes that calm, always-happy demeanor to baby #2!
1.) Loving God // There could be no other number one. God's constant, constant love has led me through so many dark times in life. It is the most comforting feeling to know that He has saved me from all sin and darkness; that He really loved me that much! And for Him to give me so many blessings in life when I do nothing but fail Him daily. That is true love. God loves us all in depths so great we could never understand them. I would love to talk to you about it sometime. Email me @ faithandfashblog @ gmail .com or connect with me through any form of social media (they're all linked to the top right of the blog)! God is truly good and I would love to share His truth with you.

What are you feeling thankful for this season? Have you stopped and counted your blessings lately?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Turkey Day! It's a big day here in the Klee household because today is the day we finally announce baby #2's gender to the family! We found out at our 15 week appointment, but because it was so early we wanted to double check before we announced to everyone. We went to a 3D ultrasound center at 17 weeks to confirm. We now have our final answer and I can't wait to share it here with all of you this weekend :D

I have so so many things to be thankful for this year, but since today is the holiday, I'm going to spend my time relaxing (after cooking and baking all morning!) and enjoying time with family. I hope you all have the opportunity to do the same this year and make the most of your time together. We never know just how short that time may be.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! May we all have full bellies and full hearts!

We're Back!

Hey ya'll! After an exhausting 5 1/2 days in Lexington, we are finally back home in Missouri. We just had our gender confirmation ultrasound and I am too too excited to share the results with you! This weekend perhaps?

An update on my grandma: She is home and recovering very well! She's got lots of great help now and is over that first rough week. It'll be a while before she's back to normal, but she's well on her way and we appreciate all the prayers!

Lucy had a great time playing with her aunts and uncle the whole week. We got to see my little brother, Carson play some basketball and my little sister Amelia in her Kindergarten Thanksgiving Play! Here are few snapshots from our busy week:

This poor baby had such a crazy week, running back and forth to pick up and transport kids and running back and forth to the hospital and from my mom's house to my grandma's house every night....whew! She passed out on Nana (my mom) while we were waiting for JoJo (my grandma) to be discharged from the hospital.

This portrait of my grandma and late grandpa is my absolute favorite. They posed for it they got the call to adopt my aunt! It's such a special photo of the two of them and I have always loved seeing it in their home.

Lucy was very excited to watch some basketball!

How adorable is this corduroy dress?! I found it at the local children's resale (Kid2Kid) and just had to have it. It should fit Lucy next fall, just in time for the fall races! Until then, it will hang in her closet for me to admire and drool over ;)

My parents' dog, Dolly, got a new Christmas sweater. She is such a sweet dog and is great friends with Lucy. They play and snuggle together whenever we visit.

Woke up to this sweet scene. She loves to snuggle her lovie and her "woogie". Woogies are just burp cloths, but there's a story behind the name: When my sister, Hannah was a baby she had a favorite blankie that she always called "woobie". No idea why, but the name stuck. So when Carson was born, we called his the same thing, but he became attached to the burp cloth and called it "woogie". They've been woogies ever since!

It's been a wild week with a lot of driving (thanks for the suggestion of the Serial podcast, Katie! It got me through all 700 miles) but we are so happy to be home! I can't wait to get back into the swing of things for Thanksgiving and then Christmas!

Happy Monday, all!

Technical Difficulties

Happy Wednesday everyone! I have been very absent from Faith & Fashion this week, as I made a very last minute trip to Kentucky on Monday afternoon!

So, my grandma just had her knee replaced and is obviously unable to walk on her own much, so my mom is staying with her to help her get around and get her medicine etc. In the meantime, she is running back and forth all day long trying to get the kids to and from school, to their various activities and back home in time to do homework, baths, and bedtime...not an easy task when you also have to keep medicines on schedule and an exercise regimen up to speed on top of taking care of yourself!

So Lucy and I packed up a few days worth of clothes and things and drove from St Louis to Lexington in about 5 hours! We will probably be here until the end of the week, so there will be no Fave Five Friday this time (sorry!). Family comes first though, and I'm so happy and blessed to have the ability to just drop things and come help out as much as I can.

Thanks for understanding, and I hope to be back up and running sometime next week (Monday we find out for sure of baby's gender, so I maaay be a little preoccupied there!).

Fave Five Friday

Hooray for Friday! Today is my only MOPS meeting for November due to the holidays, but I'm really looking forward to it.

5.) It's my table's turn to bring breakfast this week and the theme is Thanksgiving, so I am bringing my grandma's famous Pumpkin Bars with homemade cream cheese frosting! They are amazing...and I hate pumpkin flavored stuff! I'll try to get a recipe up on the blog next week so ya'll can make them for Thanksgiving yourselves!

4.) On Tuesday, we went in for a routine ultrasound and checkup. I am pleased to say that baby is measuring right on track (to the exact day!) and we are both very healthy! We got to see the gender as well which I am SUPER excited about, but don't want to announce until I have a more detailed scan on Monday the 23rd. Gotta be certain! We celebrated by grabbing holiday milkshakes at Steak n all-time favorite is White Chocolate. If you haven't tried it yet, go! Now!

philosophy Have a Cherry Christmas shower gel // haven't seen it in stores (besides TJ Maxx) yet this season, but you can still find it here.
3.) Another favorite this week is this new philosophy body wash I picked up from TJ Maxx. It smells like fresh cherries but isn't too sweet, which I love. I also love that I can use it as a bubble bath when the mood strikes. philosophy is one of my favorite brands for skincare, so I'm excited to try out their soap for once!

2.) This little stinker has been teething her nights away. Nothing has cut through yet, but she hasn't been quite as happy as usual throughout the day and wakes several hours too early in the morning. I hope it ends soon; I hate seeing her hurt :(

1.) The weather is finally finally dropping out of the 70's and high 60's to usher in cooler, more seasonable temps here in Missouri! I am relishing every chance to wear this cozy blanket scarf, eat yummy comforting soup, and even prep for fun bonfires with friends! We're having a s'mores bonfire in the backyard with friends tomorrow evening and I can't wait to spend the night surrounded by a warm glow and some great conversation.

ICYMI: Did you catch Tuesday's Pinspiration post? There are so many adorable pins shared. I love Pinterest!

What are you up to this weekend? Are you enjoying fall weather finally?

Pinspiration | November 2015

Hello, lovelies! Today is super exciting because I am finally going to my first prenatal appointment! Preston got a new job a while back and we haven't had insurance, so I'm extremely happy to be able to finally check in on my little one (and possibly learn the gender!). So while I'm sitting in stirrups today, I thought I'd share some of my favorite recent pins on Pinterest.

Custom Floral Letter
Is this floral monogram not the most precious thing you've ever seen?! I'm in LOVE. I have the strongest feeling that baby #2 is another girl, but I can't tell if it's a true gut feeling or if I only think it because I Lucy was a girl and that's what I'm comparing it too? Ugh. I can't WAIT to find out!

I'm really loving these two looks. That dress and necklace combo is absolutely gorgeous and I think that black bodycon would look adorable with a little baby bump ;)

Cupcake Onesies
More baby related goodness. How cute is this onesie/sock cupcake gift?! Perfect for baby showers, and looks super simple, too!

Sparkly Mani
I'm always a sucker for a pale and sparkly mani, and this one is no exception. I have 2 polishes at home that would be perfect for this: Essie Ballet Slippers (use several coats) + OPI My Favorite Ornament (Mariah Carey 2013 Christmas Collection)

Cheddar Broccoli Soup
This recipe looks like the perfect copycat for my beloved St. Louis Bread Co. (Panera for you non-locals (; ) Cheddar Broccoli Soup. It's an all time favorite, but I have yet to find a recipe that is quite as good and it's awfully expensive to eat very often. Maybe this version will be the winner.

Fave Five Friday

TGIF ya'll! This week was pretty calm after a fun Halloween weekend and next week looks like much of the same. I am not complaining!

Little girl is all smiles these days!
5.) On Saturday, we took Lucy trick-or-treating with some friends and their kiddos. It was a fun night hanging out and getting a little candy. Lucy has enjoyed a bag of mini cheese puffs and a mini tootsie pop so far. Mommy & Daddy are enjoying the rest ;) I loved our costumes and got a few really cute pics of her as Dorothy.

4.) Did you catch this week's posts? I shared a yummy Oreo truffle recipe & a new November Currently post where you can catch up on what's I've been doing/loving/etc. lately!

3.) We recently watched my in-law's dogs for a few days while they visited the Southern Baptist Convention. As a thank you, my mother-in-law brought me back an entire box of caramel eggs from Russell Stover! We didn't even need Halloween!

How cute is this letter to Santa printable?! Download it here.
2.) I'm starting to work on Christmas present ideas for family and friends. I have a great DIY gift for my family but I'm still working on ideas for the in-laws and hubs. I would love to do more than gift cards if possible, but my father-in-law is the type of man who buys all the ideas on his list before anyone else can! Haha. Anyone else getting on the gift giving train early this year?

1.) This Tuesday is my first prenatal appointment for baby #2! We haven't had health insurance since Preston switched jobs, so I'm feeling lots of excitement and relief at being able to finally make sure everything is going well and getting to see my baby! God is good!
