Fave Five Friday | Easter + Ultrasounds

Happy Friday everyone! This week has been fairly calm, and I am just ok with that.

I'll jump right into this week's highlights:

5.) On Monday we had another 3D ultrasound of our little guy and it was a perfect day for it...it was also Preston's birthday! It worked out as a sweet little gift for Daddy to see his son and Parker was SO cooperative! We had absolutely no trouble getting photos of his sweet face. We went home afterwards and celebrated with Guinness chocolate cupcakes with Bailey's cream cheese frosting!

4.) The prenatal check-ups are officially weekly now! They always tell me to show up 15 minutes early, but I still end up waiting for 30 minutes to an hour before I'm seen. *sigh* I'm trying to remind myself that it's almost over!

3.) It was time for another $10 Target Haul this month, and I am so pleased with all of the goodies I snagged. I only spent around $9, too!

2.) Easter is this weekend (!) and I've finally got Lucy's basket filled and ready to go! I shared a peek at all the goodies inside this week, to hopefully give you some cheap and easy toddler Easter basket ideas yourself!

Dress is handmade, Bunny Ears from Target Dollar Section, Basket from Target last year.
1.) Speaking of Easter weekend, I'm so happy to say I got some adorable photos of Lucy this week! She was so cooperative and only needed a couple of Cheerios as bribes ;)

What do you have planned to celebrate this Easter weekend? We're heading to Easter service at church and then having a yummy dinner with family.

Cheap & Easy Toddler Easter Basket Ideas

I'm usually so much more prepared for holidays when they turn the corner. I have gifts and cards stocked up and held back for months before the holiday even arrives, but this Easter I found myself scrambling at the last minute to hit the stores for Lucy's basket gifts.

Last year Lucy was only 3 months old at Easter, so her basket wasn't filled with much besides some small rattles and a couple of board books. This year, at 14 months old, she can enjoy a few more things and will probably be a lot more excited about diving into her basket...not to mention enjoying some yummy candy!

Here are a few of the ideas we chose for a toddler friendly Easter basket:

This adorable little stuffed bunny was actually an Easter gift from my mom (Nana). We decided to go ahead and stick it in her basket for her since she doesn't know the difference yet. Lucy loves stuffed animals so I know she will love toting this little guy around!

I try to use necessities as gifts whenever possible. It saves a lot of money to kill two birds with one stone! Lucy was in need of a new sun hat for this summer so I figured it would make a great Easter gift, too!

These are one of our favorite chocolate bunnies and they're one of the cheapest! Win! I also love the smaller size...I definitely don't need my one year old eating a giant chocolate bunny!

Lucy really loves these squeeze pouches of fruit! I like to get the fruit and veggie kind since she's not a huge vegetable fan. These were 89c at Target and make a great, non-candy treat!

This year, I chose to skip the extra candy and use cheerios and Nilla wafers as egg fillers! Lucy loves them both and they make a super cheap filler! Next year, I think I'll make these goldfish "carrots"!

What do you get your kiddos for Easter? I'm so excited to enjoy the holiday with Lucy now that she's a little older!

$10 Target Haul | Mommy & Toddler Goodies

It's time for another $10 Target challenge! I got all my goodies while on my recent trip to Lexington and I'm proud to say I stayed under $10 for once! Woohoo!

For my last Target haul, I brought home a super cute toddler tray for Lucy. She loved it so much, I just had to grab another one. These trays are perfect for little lunches and at a great price point. I'll definitely be stocking up on more as the new lines come out. I also grabbed a cute set of matching utensils this time so Lucy could start practicing with a fork. She's doing pretty well at it, for 14 months old!

As for me, I went to Target with hairspray in mind and happily came out with this new Pantene Air Spray. It's alcohol-free, so it won't dry out my hair. Especially important when you already battle dry skin and hair as it is. It also smells great, like candy and has a light hold, which I prefer.

I almost didn't get anything else, but while we were waiting in line, this gorgeous bracelet caught my eye in the jewelry section. I slipped over to check the price tag, expecting to see a higher price than I really wanted to pay. Nope! This beauty was under $4 on clearance! Of course it went straight into my cart! I've been wearing it almost every single day since i got it--it's just so versatile!

Gold Bar Cuff // $3.88 on 70% clearance

Pantene Air Spray // $3.99 with $1 off coupon

Toddler Tray // $1, Bullseye's Playground

Toddler Utensil Set // $1, Bullseye's playground

Coupons and my RedCard discount brought my total to a whopping $9.82 before taxes. Not bad!

TOTAL: $9.82

Fave Five Friday | Giveaways + Cute Outfits

Helloooo Friday! I feel like this week has dragged by, despite how busy I've been.

The nesting is getting REAL with only 5 1/2 weeks to go! I've done several loads of tiny laundry in preparation and I'm working on a hospital bag, too. My kitchen also got a good scrub down and the whole house has been through several declutter attempts as well...it's all coming along!

Here's what else we were up to this week:

5.) My favorite outfit post in quite a while went live yesterday! Did you catch it? It's this amazing, trendy jumpsuit and you won't believe how easily I can breastfeed in it. Mamas rejoice!

4.) You'll also notice there's a fun giveaway going on! In celebration of Tif's 2 year blogiversary over at Bright on a Budget, we're giving away a Kate Spade handbag and a $25 gift card to Target! Head over HERE to enter to win!

3.) I had a chance to get the lovely ladies at my MOPS table a little gift recently, and I couldn't resist this adorable printable I found on Pinterest! I added a cute EOS lip balm and a little note. I thought it turned out super cute and would make a great Teacher's Appreciation gift or shower favor!

2.) Is this yellow frock not the cutest you've ever seen? I won a gift card to The Red Dress Boutique a while back and decided to put it towards this sunny dress, but I'm sadly going to be returning it today. It just didn't suit my body shape and I simply didn't love it on, so it's back to the drawing board! I wish it would have worked out--I don't own enough yellow in my closet!

1.) This week was also the Missouri Primaries, so of course we did our civic duty and headed to the polls. I'm super disappointed to see Ted Cruz lose to Trump, especially so closely. The current leading candidates give me a lot of worry and fear for the future of our country, but I came across this cute wallpaper in my She Reads Truth app and it couldn't be more fitting during this election season. God has truly overcome the world. His Will is perfect and He has never failed us. Hopefully this verse gives you as much comfort and peace as it did me.

What are y'all up to this weekend? Are you enjoying warmer temps, too?

Spring Baby & Toddler Haul

Happy Monday! I'm officially 33 weeks pregnant and the nesting is getting real. I've got plans laid out to give my house a complete cleaning overhaul, lots of baby laundry in the hamper ready to be washed and folded into neat, teeny piles, and a hospital bag packing list just waiting for me to dive in.

I have to say, I am so relieved to finally have all the baby items I needed completely checked off my list! At least, 95% of them anyway. I can't believe I waited this long to get it all, but I'm glad I did because I snagged SO many deals!

In my most recent trip to Lexington, I hit up my favorite resale store and a big church consignment sale, so I was able to get almost all of Lucy's spring and summer clothing in one big haul. I love that!

Besides clothing, I also crossed a few regular "items" off of my list as well. Mostly basic stuff, but necessities nonetheless.

Here's a look at the full haul:

Carter's Floral, Children's Place, Cherokee Ikat Ruffle, Carter's Plaid, Cherokee Polka Dot, Gymboree Halter, Lilly for Target

DRESSES

Old Navy Floral Button Down, Koala Kids Solid Coral, Old Navy Pink Chevron, Handmade Multi Chevron, Handmade UK Pillowcase, Carter's Butterfly Ruffle w/ Cardigan

SETS

THE REST

Old Navy Peplum Swimsuit, Gymboree Boston Terrier Tee, Old Navy Patterned Tank, Old Navy Ruffle Stripe Tank, Cherokee Denim Shorts, Cherokee Neon Top, Genuine Kids Patterned Shorts

FOR PARKER

SLEEPERS

Carter's Sailboats, Carter's Anchors & Whales, Carter's Outer Space, Koala Baby Alligators, Child of Mine by Carter's Puppy Stripe

STUFF

Along with all of these, Parker also got a couple of UK onesies to add to his collection ;) My family can't resist it and I love it anyway. I only have a few more small items to stock up on before his arrival, and then we are good to go!

I love feeling productive, especially with this nesting phase in full swing!
