January 2017 - Like Honey

Edgy Valentine's Day OOTD

I'm a total frilly, girlie girl when it comes to Valentine's Day. Give me all the lace and ruffles! But every now and then, that little part of me that likes things a little edgy breaks out and I just need to bust out the moto jacket and black jeans!

*this post has been compensated by Gordmans. All opinions are my own. Post contains affiliate links.*

One of my favorite parts of this outfit is the criss cross top! This neckline is hot right now and the blush color is perfect for keeping a touch of femininity in an edgy look. I love finding ways to add trendy pieces to my wardrobe, but y'all know I'm budget conscious shopper. Trendy doesn't have to break the bank, and thanks to Gordmans, I was able to snag this "in" piece for less than $10! Seriously!

Gordmans is my go-to for everything from clothing to home decor to kitchenware. They even have everything I need for my dog! I can't wait to take him to their annual National Love Your Pet Day in-store event where you can bring your fur babies with you to shop plus win lots of sweet giveaways and prizes! Go here to find your nearest location and mark your calendar for February 18!

They have designer items for a fraction of the retail price and tons of affordable, on trend styles that don't break your budget. I got several new pieces for spring on my last shopping trip that you've probably already seen me rocking all over Instagram plus plenty of home decor! I can't wait to share them with you here in the coming weeks!

Speaking of wardrobe rewears, are you feeling deja vu over these heels? That's probably because I have three pairs. They're similar to the styles of Sam Edelman but at a much cuter price point and the quality is still great! Highly recommend.

So what is your go-to style for Valentine's Day? Do you have a Gordmans nearby? (Here's a store locator in case you're not sure) If I'm honest, my Vday style may be PJs and wine this year! ;)

Fave Five Friday | Parties and Pretties

Happy Friday y'all!

It's been a pretty calm and good week in the Klee household! We are running on one car so I've spent a lot more time at home, which is okay since I had a lot of party clean up to work on!

Here's what we've been up to:

5 // I got my second Rocksbox in the mail yesterday and I am absolutely in LOVE! I think I'll be getting at least the necklace, but the matching earrings and rose gold ring are sooo tempting too! You can try Rocksbox for yourself with a FREE month with code likehoneyblogxoxo!

4 // Lucy's Little Mermaid Shellabration was a total success! It was absolutely adorable and I can't wait to share all the pictures with y'all on the blog soon!

3// I am still loving this comfy and cozy long cardigan and I shared a classy outfit on the blog this week. It's got some goodies from my first Rocksbox included and the perfect LBD!

2 // Little Parker started crawling AND got his first tooth this week! I must have crazy good teethers, because I didn't even know he was cutting a tooth until I reached in and felt it sticking out one day! Lucy was the same way...never a fussy teether!

1 // Have you started shopping for Valentine's Day yet? Who do you shop for? I usually just shop for my hubby and kids but some of the gift options in my Valentine's Gift Guide are too good to pass up, so I may have to shop for my mom, sister and besties, too!

Don't forget about my $100 JORD giveaway ending soon, too! You can enter that HERE.

Happy weekend, y'all!

Long Cardi + LBD

I shared my love for this simple yet stunning longline cardi in this post, and the love just keeps growing. I wear it alllll the time; with a white tee and leggings, around the house when I'm chilly, and now with this black bodycon and simple gold jewelry. I think this is such a classy and elegant look that works for just about any season!

Isn't this necklace just gorgeous? I also love the simple black studs--they go with everything! I got these pretty pieces in my latest Rocksbox along with another stunning statement necklace and got to keep them as long as I wanted (or just purchase them at a discounted members only rate...tempting I know)! You can try Rocksbox for yourself with a FREE month with code "likehoneyblogxoxo"!

Fave Five Friday | Party Prep

Happy Friday my friends! I've been busy busy this week prepping for Lucy's party and just getting some general work done! Let's jump right in to the highlights:

5 // I'm already thinking of Valentine's Day! I shared a men's gift guide plus a giveaway for $100 to JORD in my latest blog post! Check it out HERE.

4 // Also on the blog this week: one of my (hopefully!) last fall outfits of the year! I am so ready to break in the spring shades, but I had to give my fur vest and fall hat one last run.

3 // I've been working hard making tons of paper fans, tissue pom poms, and other decor for Lucy's birthday party this weekend! I'll be spending today in the kitchen baking cupcakes!

2 // Our MOPS group held a play date at a local gymnastics place that has open gym and Lucy had a blast! She loved the trampolines and bounce house they set up, but the foam pit was not her jam.

1 //  My favorite outfit this week: a comfy chambray top, leggings, boots and the most gorgeous new handbag that was less than $50 at Gordman's! I'm also loving the rose gold watch!

So what does your weekend hold? I can't wait to share Lucy's Little Mermaid party with y'all!

What to Get Your Man for Valentine's Day

*JORD sent me this watch in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links.*

Men are the worst to shop for. Seriously. I know I am not the only one with a husband who consistently says "nothing" when asked what he wants for any gift giving occasion, right?

I don't know about you, but when my hubby has nothing on his wishlist I feel even more motivated to give something he'll never forget. Valentine's Day is a holiday for celebrating endless love, so it's only fitting that his gift be something timeless and classic, but that can be a pretty high standard to meet! Thankfully I've rounded up a few foolproof picks that will woo your man this Valentine's Day, but don't feel tired or insignificant.

Preston got a wallet for Christmas, but he got his Valentine's Day gift early, thanks to JORD Wood Watches!

I've sung their praises before and my hubby is just as happy with his watch as I was with mine (check out my gorgeous burgundy wood watch here)! I love that they are lightweight and splash-proof, but also that, while trendy, they are definitely timeless. I was pleasantly surprised to see the new and improved box that it came in! I didn't even need gift wrap because the storage was just stunning. They now come with a humidity proof drawer where you can store a special powder that keeps your watch looking perfect in imperfect temperatures, plus it came with a small oil applicator to keep the wood fresh and gorgeous as the day you received it! I love that JORD takes those extra steps to ensure quality in their pieces and of course, style is important, too.

And really, what better way to tell your sweetheart your love is "timeless" than a watch, am I right? I think it's such a classy gift and because JORD now offers custom personalization on both their watches and their boxes, it is truly a one of a kind gift that can't be beat. Preston is wearing the Conway Watch in Jet Black + Walnut and I think it's just the right amount of modern and classic. The walnut shade goes with just about everything and I know the quality is one I can trust.

Want to share a wood watch with your sweetie? I'm teaming up with JORD to give you a chance to WIN a gift card towards your very own timeless timepiece! One winner will be chosen at random to WIN a $100 e-voucher JORD watches, plus every entry wins a $25 voucher, too!

Head HERE to enter the giveaway!

What are you getting your man for Valentine's Day? "Wood" you consider a wooden wristwatch? (See what I did there? ;D)

Burgundy + Blacks

Burgundy is such a versatile color! I love it paired with blush and rose gold for a feminine outfit or with blacks for a more edgy look. I guess I was feeling more edgy today (though Preston said I looked "hipster") but I love this black hat with the fur vest.

I'm starting to edge more into spring hues and lighter looks so I thought it would be fun to share one last dark fall/winter look with y'all to end the season I suppose. Winter is one of my favorite seasons for fashion...sweaters and boots are the way to my heart!

Outfit Details
Sweater // Kohl's (under $20 and in 5 new spring colors!)
Vest // Old Navy, similar, similar
Jeans // Target, similar
Boots // Target
Hat // c/o Jack + Lucy, similar
Necklace // old boutique, similar
Watch // c/o JORD
Hair Tie Bracelet // c/o Maria Shireen

It's been unseasonably warm around here (50s and 60s forecasted this weekend!) so I'm dreaming of spring! Are you still rocking your winter wardrobe or are you itching for sandals and sundresses like I am?!
