2 Easy Game Day (Un)Recipes That Will Make You The Real MVP

I am a busy lady, y'all. I've gone through at least 3 bags of flour in the last 4 weeks between holiday baking and birthday party festivities. I'm a party planning girl at heart, but let's be honest: Mama needs a break! With the Big Game fast approaching (and a hubby looking for any excuse to invite "the boys" over), I anticipate at least one more celebration in my near future. This time, I'm making things easier on myself with the help of Tyson® Any’tizers® Snacks and Walmart's Online Grocery Pickup and introducing: The (un)recipe!

a set of instructions for preparing a particular dish that requires little to no effort and results in unmatched deliciousness
"this (un)recipe made party prep a breeze and left no plate uncleaned!"

After all our winter festivities (seriously, we have FIVE family birthdays in a 2 week timespan), I'm just too swamped to think about dishing up something intricate, so I created the "(un)recipe". A mom's best friend, the (un)recipe, is just like a regular recipe only the ingredients do all the work for you! You'll have these dishes hot and ready to serve in minutes, with almost no prep work or effort required!

Our game day parties always involve a lot of little hands and hungry guys, so Tyson® Any’tizers® Snacks came to the rescue! Both filling and kid-approved, the Chicken Fries are always a total hit! I decided to dress them up a little this time by making some fully-loaded, Cheddar Bacon Ranch Chicken Fries! They're super easy to make and even easier to put away! Find the (un)recipe below.

Cheddar Bacon Ranch Chicken Fries
This easy game day recipe is both husband and kid-approved! Smothered in gooey cheese sauce, delicious ranch dressing, and crumbled salty bacon, this recipe takes frozen chicken fries to the next level!
  • 1/2 bag Tyson® Any’tizers® Snacks Chicken Fries
  • 1/4 cup Ranch Dressing
  • 1/4 cup Liquid Cheese Melt (or homemade cheese sauce)
  • 3 slices Bacon, cooked and crumbled
Bake Tyson® Any’tizers® Snacks Chicken Fries according to package directions. Line in a cast iron skillet and set aside. Drizzle ranch dressing over top of the chicken fries. Prepare cheese melt (I like a splash of milk to thin mine out a bit) to a sauce consistency and drizzle over chicken fries. Top with crumbled bacon and serve! If the dish gets cool, pop the skillet in the oven for a few minutes until heated through. You can easily double or triple this recipe and can adjust ranch and cheese ratios to your liking. Have fun with it!

Perfect Pink Party Dress

*This post is sponsored by Eshakti, but all opinions are my own! Thanks for supporting Like Honey!*

If you haven't noticed already, I'm on the shorter side; like minimum 3 inches rolled on all my jeans short. So when I discovered Eshakti and their custom sizing, I was over the moon!  They allow you to completely customize just about everything on their site! Just pick your design, take your measurements, and customize your design as you see fit: everything from hemline length, sleeve type, necklines, and even embroidery! Most of their styles come with pockets (YAASSS) but if that's not your thing, you can opt out! No more sizing up and having things hemmed or sizing down and fighting the zipper! Eshakti is the perfect solution for girls with shorter stems or bigger busts to get the styles they love in just the right size!

I decided to go with this darling blush number; Lucy calls this my ballerina dress and I can definitely see why! It's the prettiest shade of light pink with an ombre effect that gives it that extra little something! Totally twirl-worthy, I love the added lining and flouncy effect of the cinched waistline! I can totally see this for Valentine's dates, girl's brunch, Easter Sunday, or even a bridal or baby shower! The only alteration I made to mine was the hemline. I went with "knee-length" so it wouldn't shorten my legs, but still looks modest and appropriate for any occasion.

What is your biggest fit struggle when shopping or trying-on? Mine is definitely jeans, since I'm short but curvy in the hips! Click Here to save $25 on your first Eshakti order and start skipping the struggle today!

Beating the Winter Blues

Y'all. It has been a week. I've been trying to wean Lucy off of her pacifier, but she claims she "can't sleep" now without it...so every nap and bedtime is a total fight. Between being cooped up in the house for days on end to beat the cold temps and fighting sleep on the daily, threenager status has officially hit our household. I'm feeling worn down from the constant battle and struggle, so an afternoon outfit shooting with the hubs was definitely in order and these bright springy colors are cheering me right up!

This light blue sweater has been in my closet for a few years now and I always kind of forget about it until I start craving spring. It's not warm enough yet for my lighter options but I just don't feel like wearing heavy, dark sweaters anymore. My favorite part about this sweater is that I scored it for $3...from Gap....*insert praise hands here* One of our local outlets was going out of business, so I scored tons of closeout deals before they left! I love finding deals on staple, quality pieces because I know they'll last!

Any advice for getting a toddler to give up her pacifier? And beating this cabin fever? I'm all ears!

Pretty in Pink Velvet

January is that weird month where the holidays are finally winding down and I'm tired of winter, but it's still not acceptable to break out the spring styles (plus, I mean, there's usually an inch or two of snow lingering on the ground). I'm trying to make myself enjoy these in between seasons more this year, and this blush velvet cami from Pink Blush is helping me do just that!

The pretty pink color gives me the spring feeling I crave, while the cozy crushed velvet still says winter. Paired with comfy neutral knits, it's the perfect look for a snow day, curled up with a good book! It's so soft, too, and has the comfiest satin-y lining. I wish it was acceptable to wear velvet through the summer, because I don't think I can handle taking this one out of my rotation.

I'm a lover of layers, too, so of course this darling cardigan had to come home with me. Charlotte Russe has great deals on their sweaters if you watch for them! The quality is so-so most of the time, but this cardi is well made, soft, and holding up well! Plus, it has pockets, so it's obv a winner.

I think this look would be the perfect Valentine's day date outfit, too! You could wear it out to brunch with the girls or for a day of antiquing with your main squeeze! I love when I can rock an outfit for multiple occasions!
