Update Your Makeup Routine for Spring | All Drugstore Products!

I love updating my beauty routine with the seasons and this spring has me dreaming of dewy finishes, shimmery shades, and for some reason--cool toned neutrals! I'm totally a warm, browns and reds kind of neutrals girl so this is a welcome change for me! I recently stopped by my local drugstore to update a few areas of my routine without breaking the bank and ended up with a whole new regimen for just under $35 (not including a few items I already owned. A full price breakdown is below)!

Here's a quick look at what I got:

Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation in 110 Porcelain | I recently received this in an Influenster VoxBox and really love it! I'm using the lightest shade in the collection, porcelain, and find it to be perfect for my pale winter skin. I know there are many people paler than me, though, so this shade range may not be fair skinned friendly. If you can find your shade in this line, I highly recommend the formula! It's a medium coverage, smooth to dewy finish that is lightweight and blends beautifully. I prefer to use a beauty blender but have used a brush when in a hurry without issue. I find that I have to double up around my cheeks since I have a little redness there, but in general I don't need more than one layer to get coverage. For just over $5, this foundation is a great option to upgrade for spring on a dime!

Maybelline Master Prime Hydrate + Smooth | This primer came with the dewy + smooth foundation in that VoxBox and I've actually been pretty impressed! It definitely holds the foundation all day, but I also love that it allows it to blend even more smoothly than it already does. I haven't used it with any other foundations yet, but I'm pleased to find a hydrating primer that isn't another one of those "pore erasing" gel-to-powder blurring products. I've tried so many of those and am rarely impressed with the results. This Hydrate + Smooth primer is much more my style and great for dewy, lightweight foundations this spring.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in Fair/Light | I picked this up at Target a while back on a 50% off Cartwheel deal and ended up going back to pick up more! It's totally worth the full price (only $5-6!) I think it may have been discontinued, but found it in a couple of places online--here and here--so it's worth stocking up! I love the brush applicator and the lightweight feel. It's a highlighting formula without being shiny or dewy which means it won't accentuate fine lines or creases. I love the brightening effect, especially with fresh faced spring looks this season!

Milani Everyday Eyes Palette in Must Have Neutrals | This is the first cool toned palette I've tried as well as my first Milani palette and I am very surprised at the quality! The shadows swatch smoothly and are highly pigmented with one swipe. The shimmery shades don't flake much and aren't chunky and the matte shades blend well. I was thrilled to see this was only around $10 because cool tones are new to me and I don't want to splurge on something I may not get lots of use out of...but after trying this formula, I may just have a new favorite! Anyone else feeling cool toned neutrals this season?

L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara | You've already heard me rave about this mascara and it's quickly become a cult favorite for good reason! It's the only mascara I've ever used that has both held a curl to my stick straight lashes as well as worked so well on it's own that I didn't have to double team my mascaras to get the effect I wanted. I use two to three layers depending on the length I'm going for and always end up with clump-free lashes that hold all day!

Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amore | Everyone talks about this blush in Luminoso, but as I was swatching the different shades this one just really stood out! I love that it's more of a neutral pink rather than an orangey coral so I can wear it with a lot more variety of makeup looks! It does have a shimmery finish, almost like a fine glitter, which is initially what drew me in. I love the idea of a blush that is brightening like a highlighter as well as giving a sheer wash of color. It's perfect for the dewy, fresh spring look I've been going for.

L'Oreal Colour Riche Lip Gloss in 120 Rich Pink | This $5 lip gloss is non-sticky, smooth, and just opaque enough to give your lips a sheer wash of color on its own. I can't say enough good things about the formula or the price tag and I also love how it pairs with mauve and nude lipsticks. Sheer and shiny is a must for spring lip products so I'm super glad to find another staple gloss to keep with me on the go. This one seems to only be available at Walmart, but it's very comparable to Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Supernatural which is also a great choice if you're shopping elsewhere!

OPI Nail Polish in Mimosas for Mr. and Mrs. | Okay, I'm a sucker for anything wifey related and mimosas are my favorite drink, so this polish was just destined to be in my collection! I love blush and nude polishes year round and saw this one on Pinterest and fell in love. I actually found it at TJ Maxx the other day for only $3.99! I'd totally pay the full price, though, since the shade is just gorgeous. Spring brides, this one is perfect for you!

  4. I'm horrible when it comes to makeup. I stick with the same colors over and over. You've got it down, though, with all these pretty shades. That OPI polish is just perfect for Spring. I love all of these options!

  5. I also love the Lash Paradise mascara. I am going to have to try that primer. I am using an ulta one now and I think it actually dries my skin out.
