No road trip is complete without a few fun snacks and since Preston and I just got back from a fun weekend at the lake, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorites with y'all!
SOUR PATCH KIDS // A little sweet, a little sour....like my kids. Just kidding (kind of)! These have always been one of my favorite candies so I had to bring some along!
M&M'S // When it comes to chocolate, I don't discriminate, but it's been so hot out this week I just couldn't justify bringing an actual chocolate bar. Did you know M&Ms were invented after seeing soldiers eating chocolate "pellets" that were made to survive the warm temps? Genius!
DR. PEPPER CHERRY // I'm cherry-obsessed (y'all know my love for Cheerwine knows no bounds) so when I saw Dr. Pepper with extra cherry I was sold! It's so refreshing and delicious to wash down all the fun snack foods.
RITZ CHIPS // For every sugary snack, there has to be a savory one. I just have to have both! I'm not much of a potato chip person, so these cracker-y versions of a classic chip flavor are right up my alley!
There's nothing like a road trip full of snacks and soda to really bring out your inner child! Thankfully some of these are coming with us on the boat Saturday so I won't be eating them all on the road ;) I'm so looking forward to spending this weekend with my husband and a few close friends! It's a much needed break for us! Do you have any Labor Day Weekend plans? I'd love to hear them!
Lovely post, I didn't know that about M&M's!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joy! Isn't it funny the random facts our minds remember?
DeleteYou definitely know how to road trip! Yum!!
ReplyDeleteWith family in Kentucky, we travel quite often! So road trips are kind of my expertise!
DeleteI love Ritz crackers, I didn't know they have chips too! Will be checking it out!
ReplyDeleteYES! These are my favorite "chip" in existence!
DeleteSour Patch Kids are also my favorite. I would have to add jerky to this list! That is my other go-to.
ReplyDeleteOoh, yum! I tend to forget about jerky since it can be pricey, but the Lorissa's Kitchen Korean BBQ flavor is to die for!
DeleteI remember when I was in college and I had to drive home by myself, I would always stock up on a bunch of snacks. Now, with the family, we tend to lean toward veggies. It's easy to bring and I don't mind if they eat the whole bag :)
ReplyDeleteSnacks are life! Kids weren't on this trip, so I got to have whatever I want!
DeleteToasted chips? Yum! I love Ritz crackers so I bet their chips are great too.
ReplyDeleteThey are so good! And much less greasy than potato chips!
DeleteYUM! My fave snacks are baked cheddar Ruffles. Good thing I only get them rarely b/c I can eat an entire bag!
ReplyDeleteRuffles are the best potato chips! Totally addictive!
DeleteMy husband always wants trail mix and I need a good cup of coffee.
