New year, new glasses! How much of a nerd does it make me that I get very excited about a new pair of frames? I just like to have options and this vintage-inspired pair arrived just in time for me to style this darling twinset dress from Chicwish. I have loved partnering with them to try out more vintage styles and expand my wardrobe with affordable, yet high quality items! They have some of the nicest skirts on the market and their knits are such a great deal for the price.
Speaking of getting a bang for your buck, this dress is actually a twinset, meaning it's two pieces! If you have another blouse that matches, you could easily pair it underneath the classic pinafore for a whole new look and the white blouse is a staple every girl should have on rotation! Bow neck blouses are some of my favorites for dressing up skirts, layering spring dresses for cooler weather, or just jazzing up a simple sweater!
Since this dress and blouse combo makes a pretty good statement all on its own, I thought I'd keep the accessories simple, opting for my usual browns/tans and throwing in this fun gold hair clip to lift up my Bardot-inspired hair 'do! This outfit makes me think of a sixties university look (think Brianna in Outlander!), so I was thrilled when my cat eye glasses arrived in time to wear them all together.
My vintage style doesn't usually err on the side of mod/sixties, but this dress was a fun way to incorporate a little bit of that fun era into my wardrobe.
